IAN HAIGHT

Ian brings over 11 years of experience in the fire services sector, currently serving as a First-Class Firefighter with Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services. He holds certifications in pump, squad, and aerial operations, and specializes in structural firefighting, advanced vehicle extrication, technical rescue, rapid water and ice rescue, medical response, and public education.

Ian’s background also includes work as a Fire Prevention Inspector, where he conducted fire suppression system assessments and evaluated fire safety protocols in alignment with provincial and industry standards. He contributes to departmental advancement through his roles on the Fire Apparatus Procurement Committee and the Fire Truck Design Advisory Committee.

Beyond municipal service, Ian is a certified member of the FIA Extrication and Medical Team, affiliated with the Canadian Motorsports Response Team. His motorsport emergency response experience spans high-profile racing series including Formula 1 and NASCAR.
